Hands down, investing in real estate is an easy way to retire early in Dallas, TX. Rates are at an all time low, the metroplex is growing ridicously fast and most importantly there is a steady job market. Statistics say that every day over a thousand people are moving to Dallas, Houston and Austin. Within that triangle those areas are expected to be 18 million people larger then what it is now. All 18 million of those people will need places to live and if you are able to get in a house for 10k would it not be smart to buy as many as possible?
Texas is growing so rapidly because there is a strong job market here. Unemployment rates are low in Dallas 7.6% compared to 8.1% of the national level. The oil field business brings a lot of people to Texas and I do not see that industry shrinking anytime soon.
